Shopping and a realization...

I went shopping yesterday for some shorts and a bathing suit for our trip in January (trying to hit the end of season sales). As I was picking clothes out I realized something - my wardrobe is REALLY BORING!!! Plain 1 color t-shirts...blah...lots of black and brown pants...blah...LOL. So I tried to go out of my 'comfort zone' a bit and tried on some different shirts (wait, was I shopping for shirts?). Nope, but I came home with 3 of them!! Ok..1 is still a plain pink t-shirt, but it was only $6! And the other 2 are pretty funky for me - lots of beads and stuff. Now can anyone tell me how to wash a shirt with beads on it so that it still has beads on it in a couple months?? :P I also did come home with one pair of shorts and a bathing suit. Everything for about $80 - not bad right?? Yay for sales!

Have a great long weekend everyone (if you get one!)

Yay! I went shopping today too! But I did alot more damage to my wallet :( At least we'll all look nice at the wedding tomorrow!
AS for the beaded tops, I'd handwash them in Zero soap, rinse thoroughly and hang or lay flat to dry.
Good luck! Isn't it fun shopping for a trip!?!?

I don't handwash anything - I'd just throw it in the washing machine on the delicate cycle with some delicate soap. I've never had any problems but we have one of those front load machines that are supposed to be easier on clothes so that might make a difference.

Sounds like you had a great shopping day!

Shopping is always fun! Beaded tops I do the same thing that Sue does. Hope you enjoyed the long weekend.

YAY for shopping!!!!!
I'm with Jenn - if you have a front load washing machine. I put them in on delicate and then hang or lay flat to dry.

wooohooo on going out of the comfort zone and getting some funked out tops!! They have some really cute styles these days that I'd LOVE to wear!! If there is ever something I'm not sure will do ok in the wash I put it in a pillow case and twist tie it... always comes out good. I'd be worried about the beads getting caught. can't wait to see pics!!! :)
